I just double each line using bimini twist then join using double-uni, little convoluted but never breaks.
Fished offshore on the weekend and lost probably 100m of braid to the bottom. Instead of removing all the braid off the reel and top shotting from the mono backing, I decided to join braid to braid using an improved albright. Has anybody done this? What knot did you use? And have you had any breakages at the knot when snagged up?

Two Bimini's and then a cats paw to join them for me
Double Uni knot..........even tied one once with a fish on the other end
Confidence.......the feeling you get before you fully understand the situation.
What about a single double doubled uni with an extra double twisted uni, doubled?
So is that a quadruple uni with a couple of twisted unis done twice? Got it!
i dont know what to say..not sure if u guys are serious or getting a bit out of hand lol. see how my albright goes.never used a uni knot to join lines..only used it to tie direct to terminals and works well
eh i use uni knot 15x, works like a charm, never had a break
I'm calm, you need to stop taking me seriously pal, I'm getting sick of it
