    Sunday- Cape Moreton

We ventured out on Sunday- departing the Scarby ramp around 0300hr. Two good mates on board.

Trolled Hutchies Flinders and the Cape areas.

Lance picked up his first wahoo on a hex head trolled long and shortly after his first marlin with his dad hauling the fish in for the photos and a safe release. The marlin took a lumo skirt just behind the teaser.

back to the ramp- late a.m.

Great weather, top company- awesome day.

When trolling do you consider current; eg always trolling against the current?
or is it just doing zigzags and keep going forward?

    Pros,

The later more than not. Look for signs- bottom features- eg drop offs etc, bait, birds working- surface activity, drop- changes in water temp/clarity/current- drift lines - vary speed a little looking what get the lures working the best. I think zig zagging is good- mixing it up a bit. If its a particular feature might hit it from a few different directions
