Headed out towards wide Caloundra yesterday, on the way out in around 40 meters found what appeared to be an isolated rock loaded with bait, pulled a nice gold spot cod first drift.
Continued for a few more drifts and caught some good Moses perch, heaps of juvenile red emperor, couple of nice snapper and grassies and the world largest grinner!!
Bite went quiet so continued into wide Caloundra, but reached the 50 meter line and flying fish were everywhere so decided to put the lures out and with in 30 seconds a nice wahoo was boated.
Reset the lures and not long after a dolly hit the shot gun skirt and was boated soon after.
Continued trolling around the 50 meter line but nothing else boated boat 2 lures snipped off!!
By that time I thought time to head in, so never did actually make it to wide Caloundra.
