We headed out for a fish on Monday and its been a while since I have posted a report and they seem a bit few and far between. Weather was a bit ordinary to say the least when we woke so we delayed our departure until about 5.00am. Travelling was a bit lumpy when we left but soon got better as we got out a bit and by the time we arrived at our first location it was great. As usual for us we drifted all day and didn't get around to anchoring as we managed our bag of snapper through the day. Back at the ramp around 7.30-8.00pm with a good mixed bag of Snapper, Tuskies, Hussar, Wrasse, Pigs, Maori, Roseys. No real big fish but still some good quality and was just good to be out in nice conditions and good company.
Conditions were good except for the last third of trip in. Was hard on the eyes, raining in the dark but I prefer to stand and look over the screen when driving in those conditions. Then had to wash the boat in the rain that night as we were heading to the Goldcoast early the next morning. But good to see your dams full again hey.
