Thickness of Plasrtic Tie to release stuck Reef Anchor

My Anchor Chain is connected to a 450mm stainless steel cable that is D linked to the bottom of the anchor and the top of the anchor ( with the hole) is Plastic tie'd to the SS Cable.

The theory being that if the anchor is stuck on the bottom I pull on the anchor rope hard and break the plastic tie. With the anchor rope, chain and SS cable being joined onto the prong end of the anchor, I can then simply pull the anchor up.

Question I am using a plastic tie approx. 6mm wide and 1mm thick. Is this tie to hard to break?

To me the police use similar to restrain the unruly

    Thanks

You would be going hard to break a 6mm cable tie at the end of 30mtrs of rope by hand............usually you would tie it off on the bollard and let the boat do the work.
Confidence.......the feeling you get before you fully understand the situation.

    Thanks Dan,
Will also look at a smaller Plastic tie, just in case I don't have the bowsprit in line and put extra pressure on that.

The boat will break a 6mm tie easily. It doesn't feel pain

    We use 2 or 3.
If its a bit choppy 1 isn't enough
