Tying Black Nylon Chain Cover to Chain ( Both Ends)

On a Drum Winch Chain with Chain cover, What's is the best way to do this? Could use 12cm of Heat shrink from Jaycar (each end), 8 cm over Nylon mesh/chain and 4cm over 2 chain links or.....

Otherwise the mesh will move and more chain links will be exposed.

Stainless tie wire or zippie ties.

Yeah I used zip ties I heated up a screwdriver? And poked my a hole through it for the zippie.

Thanks for your comments, I used the heated screw driver and the zip ties.

Also purchased some double strength heat shrink from Jaycar and put it over the chain, cover and zip ties at both ends, cost around $12 for 1m so should last for a few applications.
