Dunno if you already have some Makita gear but their 18v fan is a cracker............2x 4.0ah batteries lets mine run flat out for about 8hrs.

I'm not sure how well the solar fan would work on those windless nights.

I've got one of these fans that we use for camping and it works a treat.

got two of these in my cabin, one is about 8 yrs old. They are quiet, move heaps of air and draw stuff all current. They also come with a permanent base mount.

I just started a collection of milwaukee cordless tools, looks like the search for a camping fan is over 17 hour run time on low and blast heaps of air on high.

I have one of these. Crazy amount of air shifted and very low amp draw and very quiet. Still made in the USA. Cig lighter socket.

You could set up a wind powered generator in front of your fan it would be like free energy

Hey you have just cracked the code to Perpetual Motion.........

I had someone ask me if they had a car battery could they hook up a dc charger back to its self while it ran their camp fridge..

LOL. Hope you told them they could - won't achieve much but they can do it. As for the wind powered cooling device, I've got them already. In these parts we call em windows.

Solar fans actually work pretty well during the day. I installed a 80W panel on the roof and run 3 fans in the garage ducting into the ceiling cavity as it faces west and one in a toilet. Reduces the temp in there pretty substantially of an afternoon. The fans aren't anything special - just leftover PC fans from various projects.

Ha ha yeah maybe if someone wants to give me lots of money for the idea I will take it. Maybe someone should come up with an idea to stop the wind that's usually a bigger problem with fishing.

Easy - take up kite flying or any other activity where you actually need wind
