We went heavy tackle in the afternoon and didn't see a thing. Next day we couldn't raise a marlin to save ourselves light tackle so went heavy tackle on the shelf. We jumped a blue off then had a second one up that didn't eat, just shadowing the lures. Later we nearly had a double of striped marlin on and a third was chewing on the teaser as it was cleared. We scuccessfully tagged the one striped marlin for Troy, his first striper and first heavy tackle fish. "Run" were beside us and saw 9 big marlin for the day, hooking 7 and getting three. Quite a few heavy tackle marlin were caught this day. Last day we were not in contention so saved diesel and chugged home scoring two on the inside. Caught plenty of yellow sea carp in between times! Another great trip, great comp, great crew, great place and great boat!
