3d structure scan

Wowah, 3D structure scan ! Now only an extra $1200 !!! You get a new transducer and another breakout box!
I love the way Gen3 Lowrance gear has incorporated the 2D structure scan breakout box. Now I will just wait for Gen4 to incorporate 3D structure scan breakout box. It is so predictable! So now I need 3 skimmers. Broadband, Lss2 and Lss3.
I guess Lowrance is into marketing big time, product differentiation, pricing levels and trickle down innovation.
Ok so I am tech head and get sucked in too. 3D SC is now a must have, lol.

you wont need the LSS2. the SS3D transducer will replace that, it performs side and down scan better than the LSS2 (prommised, havnt tried it out yet )
navico is really hedging a fair bit on this SS3D but so far. it looks good

and expect to see a new NSS simrad before a new HDS. they like to leapfrog

Hey Moose, do we know if LSS3D is going to be compatible with Gen2 non touch units?

officially no. but ive heard from a few navico techs at the Fort lauderdale show that it will be backwards to the gen2 touch.... dont quote me on that just yet
just as a side note i have a promo intro offer for Ausfish members on the SS3D

Looks seriously kool, have a Hds 8 gen 2 so would make it an expensive upgrade if the unit needed to be upgraded too
