Bundaburg and Town of 1770 Tips Needed Please

Hi All,

We three families are heading from Brisbane to Bundaburg this Christmas. We'll stay three nights at Bundaburg. On 26th, we'll bring kids to a turtle tour. So far, that's the only set itinerary item. We (including our 4 yrs old boy) love fishing. But we are not familiar with either Bundaburg or Town of 1770 at all. So we 'll appreciate if you don't mind to provide any tip / recommendations regarding these two destinations. For example,

• Good fishing charter recommendation
• on shore fishing spots (easy access please...we got 6 kids under 10 yrs. :-) )
• local fishing tackle shop which will be open during Christmas holiday
• anything you'd like to share

they used to offer an hour or so fishing excursion on the trip at Lady Musgrave mate. It was only cheap but worth scratching the fishing itch.

Do yourself a favour and score some brownie points at the same time by taking the kids and some fishing rods to the mouth of the Elliot River. Simply pristine place for the kids to swim and fish and sure to impress the wife as well.

PS; Elliot Heads is only about 20kilometres from Bundy and well worth the trip
