Current Output From a Blue Band 85Hp Merc? Help with 700Amp Batt for Anchor Winch
Why I ask, is am thinking of getting an Anchor Winch and the suggestion is have 2 batteries one for Cranking etc and 1 for the winch.
Currently run a 700Amp /Hr battery and to me this was an overkill prior to getting a winch. ( Use the same in the Cruiser as Crank and 1 for the AUX) Your thoughts is a 700 unit sufficient, together with current from the 85Hp alternator/generator?.
Thanks
Peter

mates winch takes more power then his 130 etec can put back in so id say no to your question unless doing big runs of a few hours
separate deep cycle battery as per what ever the manufacturer recommends
