The dates for this are from Friday 9th September to Saturday 17th. This is the week before school holidays start.

If anyone would like to be a part of the Organising Committee, please PM me. The skills you will require are:-

1... Be organised
2.. Internet and Word processor / spreadsheet savvy
3.. Contactable
4.. In the months leading up to the event, be prepared to put 1 - 2 hours a week aside to deal with shit


Further, we ask for sponsorship to assist with running the show, this never seems to be a problem as I believe shirt sponsors get great value for their $'s.

Having said that, we are always on the look-out for other types of sponsorship, raffle prizes, donations, vouchers etc. Let's not forget we have a few wives, GF's and kids attending and want to make them feel at home during the event.

If you have any feedback from the 2015 M & G, please post it up here, suggestions, opinions, options !!

At all times the M & G is a social event, with fishing a bonus. We encourage safety on the water and land.

In recent years, many have chosen to make this a 2 or even 3 week adventure. Personally, I was there for 3 weeks this year. That gave me many opportunities to take advantage of good weather.

If you intend to go and want to book accommodation ( house ) call Michelle at PRD Agnes Water, tell her you are an Ausfish member and what size and number of boats & people you have. At all times make sure the house you rent is boat friendly.

Get in early, sort your house, deckies, housemates, bait, GPS marks, trip planning and check all boating safety equipment is in date and compliant. VHF Radio check, trailer bearings, lighting on trailer and boat.

We have had very few " issues " over the years and would like to keep it that way.

We will start taking numbers, names etc some time in the new year.

Phil, I just went to book a house and was going to be charged school holidays rate. Looked it up and school holidays next year start Saturday 17th September. You are a week out. Maybe you looked up NSW instead of Qld. Anyway, I am booking 9th till 17th.

last year was a great week so count me in. I'd say snapper Basher and CodsWallup will jump on board again and will let you know as we get closer who the fourth person will be.

Will be keen, but not sure on Whole family this year, One pup in grade 11, one in Grade 8 and one in Grade 5...nearly all on student councils, dancing 4 days a week, exams ,....etc...will decide closer to the time, but will be trying all in my power to make our 10th year or there abouts....I hope 2016 is kind to you all and we get to catch up at 1770 in September even if it is just for the meet and greet/cook off gathering or the tavern night... or a quick fish offshore.... will follow the thread as usual and Phill, if there is anything you need a hand with, just let me know, we would love to do the same as last year with the shirt, hat, donation package... seemed to be a good way to do it to me... ya got my number, just call or email... cheers Kev.
