    Stanage accommodation

Working out some logistics for a week long trip next year and just thought I'd put out there to anyone thats visited the place before and has any recommendations good or bad about holiday houses for rent up there.

At the moment it looks like we'll have between 10 and 12 people plus at least 3 boats between 5 and 7m, it would be good to keep the group together but if we do need to split it up so be it.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

    Get onto the Plumtree Store

    or
    Von at Stanage Bay Marine

Ring them both and see what they have available. Don't try and sneak more people into your house without telling them

Thanks mate was that a lesson learned the hard way?

Von was the next port of call, I was also thinking about the crabbing cabin and the ofishal unit from stanage bay fishing accommodation as they are right next door to each and should be able to cater for a larger size crew.

Do you have any recommendations on different houses mate?

    Re: Stanage accommodation

Stayed up there a couple years ago at misses cousins rental place, Margaritaville. Really good setup for a blokes fishing trip, couple big freezers, massive stainless fish cleaning area and good size deck with a view to kick back with some coldies and have a feed of muddies. Has access from back so can drive right through to unload catch clean boats and park up. He's set it up over years for his own yearly fishing trips. We had a ball.
Not sure it has enough beds for 10+ blokes could be a base if another place is available close by. Google it @ Stanage for details. Cheers Dave

    Re: Stanage accommodation

    Cheers guys.

Ive been making a lot of ph calls in the last day or so and there only seems to be a few places available that will cater for a larger crew of blokes but a lot that will do 6-8 people no worries.

The oasis shed was the biggest I found but there is a couple of others that will accommodate 10-12 people.

If I get a bit of time later I'll post up this list of contacts I've got scribbled down for the various places.
