Lowrance dash mounted thing.

Hey guys . Just bought a second hand tournament boat . Mounted on the top of the dash ( in a moulded spot for it )?is round device with Lowrance written on it. Previous owner didn't really know what it was as he was second owner and didn't really ask. Goggled it and I think it is a gps radar ..? Not sure what that does . I have a Lowrance elite 7 combo of my own ( to be installed) the boat is 2011 . Any ideas ?

Yes it is !

Chances are then it is part of the E-Tec gauge set up. They use GPS input to allow the gauges to not only give speed but calculate fuel economy
