    Cape York Overnighter

    Weather finally played the game so did an overnight fishing mission from Thursday Island down the WestCoast of Cape York to the Doughboy River- 24th-25th October.

    Nice vid mate. I used to do the run to the doughboy river in a 10 foot tinnie from vryilia point oh them were the days.

    bent rod, can you make it by land and camp at the point. looking at a trip end of may next year. trying to figure out some spots to go

    Not sure... We travel by boat from T.I. However I know that Vrilya access was cut off by traditional owners. Crystal Creek no.2 Cotrell River and Skardon river are accessible by 4wd. Most Rivers between Crystal No.1 and Skardon have good camping at the mouth. Permission from traditional owners/ permits may be required. Sorry someone else may be able to help you out more.
