removing polyester that hasn't gone off properly

Hi I did some repairs with some old polyester resin (there were crystals all around the top of the tin.
anyway I cataylised it and it made the smell so Ithought "she'll be right" and went ahead with repairs.
When it hadnt gone hard after a few days I painted some raw cataylist on it.
Still hoping it may go hard but it hasnt after a week and a half so I guess its not going to

whats the best way to get it off? It's gooey, semi card. going to clog any sanding stuff. Lots of acetone and one of those paint removing discs?

Can't think of an easy way to do it, just dig out/off what you can, the clean up with flap disk and then maybe acetone if any sticky stuff is left.

You can buy some styrine and try that, thats what you use to thin polyester out, then some acetone to clean it up any sanding disk will clog up to quick.

    Not all tools are usefull.
Nappies and politicians should be changed regularly for the same reason..
