    HH 445R Repower?

I have my eye on a hull on a decent trailer. The hull appear solid transom and floor.

Whats the max HP rating for the 445?

What top speed KPH can I expect from a 60hp ETEC?

I see a lot of them way over the manu recommendation. 90hp, even 115hp.

Im wondering if I could get as low as 50hp, is only ever 2 of us.

    Cheers

The 445 (same as 146R) goes well with a 60. It goes awesome with a 90 though.

I got a used 60 etec on offer quite cheap. Would I get 30knots WOT?

My old signature 492f use to do 70kph with just a 75 suzuki, very fast hull that was,

Any idea of his top speed and cruise?

Seems like the right size for the boat length. I dont want a 4 stroke, an etec would be ok because the one on offer isnt a lot more than a normal 2 stroke.

    Re: HH 445R Repower?

I used to get 34 knots in my 445 with a 70 tohatsu 2 stroke. Only so many days you can use that sort of speed. A 60 would be fine.

    Re: HH 445R Repower?

i have a haines v15. possibly a deeper v, (reverse chine model) but also fuller bow to take into account ex forward steer position (now tiller steer) so the fuller bow means very boyant so sensitive to stern weight. stil; deep v and narrow - means you cant put double the weight on there and not notice.
in any case I put a fuel tank up front and it sits perfect witha tohatsu 50 2 stroke. (75kgs) I put a yammie 4 stroke 60 on there before (125 kgs dry) it and it sucked. the boat sat at a stern low angle. wnet a few knots faster but waves came over back when coming off plane ets. was virtua;lly unsewortrhy with heavy blokes on rear seat. 2 stroke 50 transformed boat. great engine. could not be happier. (well it was an ex commercial 2006 model wthat was aboslutely trashed that i payd 600 for with a stainless prop) so I just upgraded to a new electric model. 4k less than a fourstroke. so strong. 26 knotzs top end (24 with canopy up) 19 liters per hour WOT. service yourself easy for well under $100 per annum. just sayin. new 3600 for manual. 5200 for pTT with charging cct.
