Don't know about MoeJoes but for me I fish alone so that's my need for one
I stand behind everything I say, except usually I'm prone.

Update......
Current installation now completed.
Ended up removing analogue gauges and installed the following:
1 x Garmin 7410 touch combo unit
2 x Garmin GMI 10's multi displays
1 x NMEA 2000 GPS antenna
1 x GT51M-TM 600W Chirp Transducer
1 x Garmin GHP Reactor Auto Pilot
Purchased from Garry ( Spaniard King ) at Silver Service Marine.
Great person to deal with and highly recommended if anyone is looking for any Garmin gear.
All units were relative simple to install ( Just read the instructions ) apart from access to run all the extra cables, tight areas to fit in & had to fabricate mounting brackets to mount the auto pilot pump, ECU and Shadow Drive units.
I am hoping to do sea trials later this week if I can get away from work for a few hours.
Will keep you updated once completed.
Photos to come.
Cheers Rob.
Call me if you need a deckie for an afternoon
That way I can get rid of your stinking tyres & hats
Fridays looking good to wet a line?????????
I'll call you tomorrow.
Pics with temporary face plate at the moment as eventually I want to raise the dash height so that the screens are more square on visually from the back and possibly some more adjustments.
Will eventually add a TZ touch 12" to replace the MFD8 & 585 but will see how this pans out first.
Plan is to mould the new dash face plate out of fibreglass once I'm happy with everything.

moejoes, stevemid, had first sea trial of exactly same garmin auto pilot, your about to install. cost was $5200 for complete pack. mate installed as a bit beyond me, so extra for install if not DIY.
Mine matched to a older touch screen garmin map unit. preformed perfectly off 1770 last sun, few storms about on way back in and left auto on and felt great in pretty sloppy squally conditions.
My boat is a 7.5m cc plate boat to give you a idea what the pilot is running. cheaper options around I guess??? confident you'll be happy with it though moejoes. KEV.
Took Moejoes out for sea trials.
Everything went exceptionally well after a few tweaks with settings.
Set the course for Tanga's with the auto guidance option and off we went ( Just had to see the carnage at the wrecks in the flesh )
Arrived without a glitch. Was disappointed to see the state of the wrecks but there is not much you can now do about it.
I did have a problem with a lot of water spray from the new transducer and tried adjusting the height which made readings worse.
Garry is sending me a spray deflection guard to fix this as I want it nice and deep for optimum performance hopefully.
I definitely need to get the revised dash mould sorted as the reflection from sunlight was blinding in my face at times and very annoying.
Overall I am very happy with the full Garmin system. It is very user friendly & simply to use.
Thumbs up from me and can't wait to use it on those extended trips.
Cheers Rob.
Seriously Moejoes, if a little bit of glare is your greatest issue, after pulling a sickie & having a day on the water, HARDEN UP MAN
Sorry I couldn't come along, but if it makes you feel any better, Juna had me in the garden for 10 hours, tractor, brush cutter, chainsaw & hedge pruner all getting a big work out
