Any experience with Lowrance GoFree App, esp. on Android?

Hi All,
I've been contemplating throwing a Lowrance GoFree wifi module in the boat and linking to a tablet as a second screen.
Running a HDS7 Touch. According to the Lowrance website, I should be able to both view and 'control' the unit from a tablet. I'm less concerned about 'controling' my HDS7, it'd just be handy to have a second screen up on the casting deck.
I've done a (very) little reading, and some of what I've read suggests it works fine on iPads, yet there seem to be some reports of issues on android tablets (or maybe phones, some of the reports don't provide much detail).
Seeing as though one can pick up a android tablet quite cheap, at least compared to an iPad, that'd be my first option.

Does anyone on here have any experience with this app on either a iPad or android tablet?

Works fine on my Android, Samsung Galaxy tab, not as good as the Ipad, but still works fine.

use it on an asus android tablet works fine. samsung galaxy note and galaxy tab. no worries.
