Thread: How to inspect a potential boat?

Re: How to inspect a potential boat?

Crunchy I still have more manuals but feel free to lend out yours mate!

Airlock, keep in mind that multi hull vessels represent about 5% of the market and as such are very hard to sell which translates to a lower than "should be" sell price on many occassions.

When it comes to "taking a friend" if that friend doesn't have proper experience in the boating game (and I don't mean owned a couple of boats) then you are wasting your time. If you find a decent mechanic he will be happy to advise you which of your potentials is worth actually looking at based on photos and description and perhaps a phone call.

Noel made a good point too about the owner and their associated stuff. How the owner behaves around their boat and do they know how to fit earmuffs etc and other little things tell you a lot about the persons real understanding of their boat. Shows how much (or little) care they have taken.

Thanks for the help BM, most of them don't seem to sell all that fast and as you biggest do tend to drop in price a fair way before hey do sell so i'll make sure i get an inspection sorted before i think about purchase.
