The one at JCM looks tidy and good bang for buck in today's market if that is the one you are looking at! Dunno much about them. One bloke I knew who was a Hydrofield owner always used to say, "when the monos are going home the cats are thinking about it and when the cats are going home the tris are thinking about it!"
Just saw on your Bookface you looked at the other one. Obviously rougher but priced accordingly if you can live with the Etec.
I only spent one day in one - take it for a blat into a decent head sea before you make a decision.
I spent lots of trips in one years ago...mild mannered not better or worse than say a typical VD hulled today travelling, back then it was inferior when travelling next to a good traditional mono hull of the same length, stability as at rest was great...gee i hope it's the try hull I remember.
I dunno what your up to personally but on average you will not go far wrong all pluses and minuses added together...so many worse boats out there overall esp these days per capita on the water...good boat hull design has died an uncomfortable death imo ....modern inside and o/b aesthetics is now more than extra flash though....some says it makes up for the discrepancy, I say.... not really
the one I looked at was a good boat but when I run the tape over it it was 2.73mtrs wide and around 8 mtrs from bowspirit to end of pod..would of bought it on the spot but when I sat on a mechanical braked trailer the alarm bells rang as it would of easy gone 2.5-3t so needed electric over ride brakes...wanted it to be weighed to sort trailer out and owner wasn't keen so he can keep it....been looking at few boats in the last week since the cat sold and it seems to be pretty common for boats over 2 t on mechanical brake set ups not on the over ride ones.get the same response from everyone she'll be right I been towing it for yrs like that...

I have been looking for 8months and there's a lot of overpriced run down rigs for sale .. Almost all I have looked at have trailer problems in one way or another.. . As long as the rig price reflects what you need to spend on setting it up properly or way you want it ..
...........GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO BAIT.........
I have seen 3T + boats with no electric overide
...........GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO BAIT.........

I seriously don't know what you girls are carrying on about.
I was dragging my 28 footer for 4 years before I found out the brakes had never worked on the trailer as the car & trailer never spoke to each other!! LOL
Looks like a clean rig... But Still has a few issue too mate club marine won't insurer as its overpowed with the 175s .. The trailer is rated at 2.9t with 9inch rims the boat will go 3.3T if not more ..... There's another one up near Harvey bay it's got twin 115 Mercury on it
...........GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO BAIT.........
Excuse me!! A Range Rover thanks Scotty
Same with the Touareg, no brakes!!
Scary to think of the consequences
Terribly sorry Tony. LOL. I wouldn't worry about the consequences too much - A bit like Epirbs mate - no one comes back and complains that they don't work either.
