Thread: Yamaha Command Link Connectors

    Yamaha Command Link Connectors

Does anyone know a source for or the manufacturer of the Yamaha Command Link connectors. A good mate picked up his new 70 four stroke today. I have made a NMEA2000 network and tested it to make sure it works but don't want to cut the plug off the outboard harness. We can buy a genuine cable and cut it in half or there are interface leads available from Navico but all I need is the 4 pin connector.

Looks from memory like it might be a Sumitomo MT090 Series but still can't find them locally. Any ideas?

Yes. You will almost certainly get them from Eastern Beaver motorcycle division in Japan. We get the plugs for the Suzuki NMEA2000 interface connections from them, they are Sumitomo as well. Prices were very reasonable last time I got some in.

    cheers
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....

Thanks Moonlighter. I had found his website. I had hoped due to time constraints (mate is on holidays) to find one locally but it is proving somewhat difficult. I will run it past him tomorrow after I get a price from the Yamaha dealer. I suspect I may need to be sitting down when I do though.

Well I was right - in so much as I nearly fell off the chair but that was all. Price of genuine Yamaha part was about half of what I could find it for on the net and was so cheap it doesn't warrant an internet order - not even for just the plug.
