    1770 to Lady Musgrave 1st Nov 2015

    Gaday Fellas ! ,

New to the site , had some great reading already !

Me and a mate from work are heading up to 1770s from Beaudesert on the 31st of October and hope to head out to Musgrave on the Sunday the 1st of November for 3-4 nights (Weather permitting of course)
If the weather gives us dramas we will stay around 1770's, and I guess we will find a beer on Melbourne Cup day lol. Looking for people to join us to make the adventure more fun. Will be taking my 6.4M Baysport Half Cabin.

Any handy marks would be very appreciated. I'm an experienced boaty but a Intermediate fisherman when it comes to outside fishing, mostly been in the estuaries all my life (learning everything off the net and from my past experiances lol)

Anyhow, I will appreciate any feed back that comes this way on any topic (fishing, communications,Lady Musgrave,GPS marks,Safety Hazards to look out for etc etc)

Looking forward to your replies, and hope a few of you can join the trip.

    Regards

    Wayno

I'm also they same guys. I have made a last minute decision to head up there tomorrow and fish out there Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Will be based from lady Musgrave.
I know it's a big ask for anyone to share spots but even just some areas of interest where I might find my own peaks. Or even a bait ground would be unreal.

Or if someone could at least tell me where not to waste my time.

    Hi fellas,
I'm new to the site as well. Our timing is a bit out but I'm doing a road trip next week fishing and spearing to Port Douglas so I'm keen to meet any Ausfishers along the way. I've spent far too much time fishing over many years (according to my wife) but I'm a novice in the tropics. I'll be in 1770 for a week from next Wednesday then on the road for a few days, probably stop at Lucinda for a couple of days then maybe Mission/Mourilyan area for a couple then a week or so at Port Doug. If you see a white Seafarer Vermont with 200hp Yamaha give me a yell.

Thanks Fellas. Can you pick up any type of comms from the mainland on VHF from the lagoon? Or a solution for weather updates whilst we are out there. Radio the Musgrave Flyer? Cheers. 18 days to go and getting very excited.

I was out a few kms to the east of the island and every morning there was a weather update from the mainland. Never tried to contact them but.

It all comes down to the weather, your radio/aerial setup etc. I have been out there and had internet access....... Was able to post to FB from Musgrave. Very rare.
You should be able to hear Rocky met on VHF but again no promises.
