Thread: Bait tank light

    Bait tank light

Thinking of installing a light in the bait tanks on my Victory. Where would be the best spot to fit these lights?

Towards the bottom of the live tank or the top?

Has anyone got lights fitted on their bait tank?

    Thanks!

I have also thought about this. Maybe one on each side was another option.
Next option. White or blue ?

I put mine halfway. The light refracts all thru the tank. Works a treat.

I am thinking od doing one on each tank. Only one is plumbed, so maybe the other can be used as a cooler, think the light will be cool at night!

I am leaning towards having it in line with the spray nozzle at the top, but in the centre. I will have to try it and see how much light it gives.

I have bought white, but now I am thinking blue.

I dont like anything white inside a bait tank as your slimies can go very pale looking.
I prefer a black tank so I reckon blue lights would be better.

Basically to match their surroundings or stress

Also watch with your fitting when you do your starboard side tank. Seem to recall that when I plumbed mine the walls of the tank had foam in them and were thicker than expected. If your fitting only has a short section for through mounting it may be an issue.
