Tide Time Difference- Cardwell & Fisher's Creek Ramp

    Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if someone could give me the heads up about what the tide time difference is between Cardwell and the Fisher's Creek Boat Ramp.

    Cheers

Can't give you an accurate answer for that location, however there can be hours difference between tide levels depending on how far up stream the boat ramp is. I used to fish way, way up stream in the Tweed for bass, also used to cross the Tweed bar & fish outside, in some cases there would be around three hours difference in tide flows & levels, up stream is always behind, plus the further north you go the bigger the difference in back & making tide, might have to google for info.
I remember fishing up at Derby (WA) with my dad a loooooong time ago, the tides up there could rise & fall by as much as 12 metres, add to that the dead flat landscape, just imagine how far in the tide would come & the speed of the water, the wind also affected tides up there, in the end dad threw away his tide chart.

About 30-40min would be close enough I expect.....it's been near 12 years since I launched at fishers so that's just a guess as I am vague on the spot now, a person back then needed like nearer 1m tides to do it still slowly but easily dont expect it's changed as there where some rocks...there has been two good cyclones through since, might be even deeper or shallower now apart from the rocks that is.

Certainly was the best spot to access the middle of the channel in a small boat.
