I was just reading a post saying that Scarborough boat ramp would be toast for the weekend. You guys also told me that the southport seaway would be closed. We are going to try Hutchies so where should we launch ?

From North to South your options are:
Spinnaker's (Bribie passage) (Best option but for the drive)
Clontarf
Cabbage tree creek
Nudgee
These are all pretty good ramps with easy access to the northern bay
Or the other ramp at Scarby by the carvan park if that's open?
go to wynnum and launch from there i do it every so offten to avoid driving to redcliffe
happy days ahead summer is coming
Gold Coast seaway is only closed 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5.30pm on Saturday. If you use it just remember they have a 6 knot speed limit in place in some areas for the whole weekend
And I'm sure every ramp will be quite busy too..

Nudgee would be a good option from Kenmore - that would be my pick.
Given the weather forecast - 10-15 from the NE, and the size of the boat - 16' tinnie, you will want to get as close as possible, take into account the course home so as to be trying to run with the expected sea conditions and trying to avoid any areas where a run out tide (which is what you will have in the morning) is going to make swell and chop from the north stand (others will have to give advice here as I have only been around the top of Moreton once - weather was worse than bad and it was all standing up). Be prepared with a "plan B" if you get out there and it is blowing 20-25 like it was at the Cape this morning. Do you have any idea as to the vessels range capability as yet?
+1 The Cape will be ordinary on Saturday, I wouldn't bother in a 16' tinny, the bay looks like it will be OK. Sunday might be a chance.
Yeah maybe give the cape a miss.
Best suggestions in the bay to catch a feed ?
NE makes it tough. Maybe southern side of Mud island.
