Have just ordered a Ryobi Carnelian 12000 from Dinga for the princely sum of $99.00 - delivered. Alan Hawk gave it a bad rap but I figure if it shits itself, at that price I can throw a tanty and toss it in the drink. I'll look like a git (derogatory comments not required but if it makes you feel better go ahead) but it will make me feel better.
Note to self - detach it from the jig stick prior to tossing in ocean.
I'll tell you if I ever get to use the thing in anger. Like many, I seem to have had a constant procession of work interruptions and cancelled trips for whatever reason. Even been a couple of times the words "sell" and " fn boat" have popped up in the same sentence but then sanity / lunacy prevails - not sure which.
