Life's too short to fish from the bank and you can't take money with you when you die so buy a boat stupid
Downside is bulk of fuelgas cylinders, refueling on long trips, corrosion of pressure vessels and lines, gas leaks in confined areas.
Diesel outboards will be the future.
Jack.
If these is made available to the general public it will be a great improvement, http://www.mercuryracing.com/optimax...ting-for-duty/
http://oxe-diesel.com/ these are available now as well apparently ,so the diesel outboard is well on the way ... Matt
A bad days fishing has got to be better than any day at work......
I can't see why there would be much of a weight difference in diesel outboard engines. The current 4 stroke engines would not need much modification to become diesels.
compression ratios for current diesels is well down on earlier models, injection systems are well up in pressures compared to the older ones too. I imagine stress factors not being a whole lot different to a 4 stroke petrol engine.
Time for Honda, Yamaha, Evinrude and Suzuki to take notice and start developing diesel outboards Turbocharged of course!!
