It's been a few years since my sailing days. But I raced heavily in a 6m lightweight sports boat. It was insured with Suncorp. Me never had an issue when I broke it multiple times. It was a trailer able boat not a moored vessel though.
The 3rd time they even let me send them photos of the damage and simply wrote out the check without even seeing the boat in person.
Things to keep in one is the insurance replacement cost of small individual items like electronics, outboards, safety gear etc.

I am currently with QBE for my racing cat. I broke the mast 2 years ago and it took me 9 months of arguments to get a new mast (the previous mast was 2 years old, but they were claiming it was the same age as the boat, and subsequently depreciating the cost). From what I understand, most insurers do this, so read the fine print.
Yachting Queensland has a sponsorer called OAMPS (i think) that are insurance brokers, might be worth calling them. Alternatively I use a guy call Andrew Johnson who specialises in trailer sailors. Being racing catamaran owner, most insurers wont touch me, but Andrew managed to organise a policy through QBE for me. Details as below. The other issue you will find is that a lot of insurers want the boat surveyed first, where as QBE was happy with photo's.
