Life's too short to fish from the bank and you can't take money with you when you die so buy a boat stupid
Shane if the main depth your fishing is around the 100-175mtrs just chasing a bag or reefies then it's hard to go past the mega twin. The retrieval rate is awesome and the low range gear has plenty of grunt. It's still good to fish the 300mtr grounds but you wouldn't want to do it every day or get onto a big patch of fish. I still remember Horse winding in manually a 15kg or so bar cod about 300mtrs of line after the reel over heated. Having said that it had pulled quite a few fish that day and had heated up but I doubt you would have that problem with a kristal or epoch.
Thanks Keith, I was just today starting to lean back towards the epoch for that reason as I can see myself loving this style of fishing and wanting to go deeper and chase bigger fish so I would hate to buy something that i will end up having to upgrade in the near future.
Also, which epoch without spending a fortune ? was looking at this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Miya-Epoc...vip=true&rt=nc or this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281391027...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and btw I will be using these rod holders http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271877449...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Hi Shane,
My humble opinion. I did some homework before spending my hard earned on something I won't use too often (I'm a tight arse too). A friend of a friend imports the Miyas and they're definitely more industrial (and way ugly), and tough as but a bit dearer even with my mates rate. Heard some bad reports on the electronics in the Tanacoms, so I ended up with the Shimano Dendu9000 and I love it, maybe I'm just getting old but my rotator cuffs appreciate it.
