    Vhf 21 repeater off line

    Hi All,

AS some of you may or not know the channel 21 VHF Repeater on Cape Moreton is actually sponsored by Coast Guard Redcliffe, what this means is we actually provide and maintain all of the equipment for the repeater on Cape Moreton. And we have done so for many many years.

BUT the time has come for the equipment to be upgraded, which means it will be offline this coming Friday the 17th July and Saturday 18th July,

We will get it back up and running as quick as we can, we apologise for any inconveneience but the new equipment will make it better again.

Any queries please just give us a call at the Base 32035522.

    Cheers
    Lee McCarthy
    Flotilla Commander
    QF3 Coast Guard Redcliffe

Thanks lethal. It is a great service to have. A pity the government doesn't see fit to fund it and not rely on volunteer organisation that are already stretched.

Looking at the wind and swell forecast most sane people will be safe and sound at home this weekend!

You would certainly like to think so, but you never know,

and yes if only they would fund it, but most repeaters are funded by organisations other than the government,
