Mclay do a very nice centre console in that size. It's not going to go so good in 60 kts of breeze though - maybe take that other one....

i love my whittley 5.3 impala glass boat we can sleep in the cabin. Good offshore in sensible conditions. I go off the sunny coast out from Mooloolaba. We are in the Whittley club & have a lot of great social times. I've got a mackay single axle trailer and a merc 90 two stroke. http://www.clubwhittleyqld.org.au

just the dilemma I faced 12 years ago....................I went with a Cyclone 540 side-Console with 115 Merc Optimax. awesome boat that has provided me with so much fun in that time !!
Great ride, versatility to the max ................ Freshwater for Bass, chasing mackerel and Snapper around Moreton Bay, head offshore and fish the Barwon Banks or troll for Spaniards. add some ski ropes and go tow the kids around on the inflatables.......... or add a bow mount electric and take it tournament fishing. This boat can do it all ...... looks a million dollars and has the ride to match !!cyclone 2014 DEC 19.jpgcyclone 2014 DEC 17.jpgcyclone 2014 DEC 16.jpg

I've been riding past your boat for years craigie on my Sunday morning rides. That hull definitely looks the goods. I'd take it over most.

Yeah those 60 knot breezes are ok. Lucky it didnt get windy though, then you wouldnt be smiling. Anything over 100 knots and you really feel it in those tinnies.

Is it an optical illusion or does that hull have VDH like a H-Sig. Underwater lines/shape & plank look very similar to the 540's & later versions, from memory ???

Yeah might be an optical illusion with all the bolt-on's on the transom .
Dead-rise is a very healthy 22 degrees ............. trim her out and let that planning plank take-over..... will push up to 40 knots with a light load. a joy to take boating.

At 60 knot winds the only person who would enjoy that is your chiropractor planning his next trip to the Bahamas out of your back.

dont forget, your probably also talking about a change in the number of passengers you can have, but also needing an extinguisher as you go over 5m

nice looking package in the 4.8 to 5.2 range, not sure it will handle the 60nt winds tho hehe but yah a nice option in that range
