Hey mate, I have the same set up ill post some photo as soon as I get a chance, it sits about 25mm below the plane of the hull on the leading edge and 40on the back edge. Mine reads at WOT 40knts in flat conditions, no problem reading at 18-25 knots in a lumpy conditions, I had to put a shroud over it to stop its roster tail spay hitting the engine.

Definitely looks at a better height now than before. The angle is a bit more than I would typically use but give it a try before you do anything further - no need for more work if it's all good.

personally i reckon the planning strakes forward of the transom and the bilge pump pick up could be your problem.

im with john boy mate i think its to close to the strake you would get some form of disturbed water being that close.

    Re: airmar tm260 transducer help

The transducer is mounted centrally between the two strakes - there is no other place to put it. This is just one of the joys of these large transom mounts - there is only so much real estate on the transom of a trailer boat and due to the physical dimensions of these things, mounting below the first half strake is physically impossible a lot of the time.
