Last week my electric motor decided to do some weird stuff and not work properly, playing up like a two bob watch. it was Sunday. I bought the Watersnake online but the store was closed (dingafishing.com.au) i thought i would just ring BCF to see what happens when their clients have to do a warranty repair. I was told that the last one they did had an 8 week turnaround!! The motor has to be taken into the store with the reciept. it then gets sent to jarvis walker for the diagnostic then it goes to Hervey Bay to the certified repairer. Then it goes to Jarvis Walker again to get ok'd then back to the store (Nerang) I couldnt believe it.. and yes i asked are you sure at least 4 times... Then to make it even better i got told i wont have warranty because i got it online (wow)
Anyway i emailed dinga sunday night. A guy from there rang me at 10am Monday. Told me he had got my email and someone from Jarvis Walker will call me and yes i do have warranty. The guy from Jarvis Walker calls me at 1.15, we diagnosed the problem over the phone and he dispatches a new relay. It turned up the next day at 12 mid day and i fixed it that arvo...
So if you are considering getting a watersnake the wait is a bit different, not to mention about 60bucks cheaper in the first place!!!
