    Discoloured Clears

    Hi Guys,

One of my Clears has started to go that cloudy milk colour in a small spot where it comes into contact with the stainless steel frame.

Does anyone have a trick or know of something that can remove it or is it cactus? Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Wadsey.
I like it when I go fishing because my wife can't give me any chores!

If the surface is not actually scatched i would try Vuplex.
I'm pretty sure i've seen it for sale at bunning's where the cleaning products are. If not try the normal marine shops.

I had my clears on the Cruise craft for 7 years beore I replaced them and it was only because of stitching problems.
The secret was cleaning them after every trip with PLEXUS,it kept them soft and as clear as the day I bought the boat.
    Hope this helps.

That Plexus sounds like good stuff , seems you can use it on the perspex too.

Vuplex from Bunnings,it is in the aisle with the cafe blinds.Cheaper than a boating shop.Worked a treat on mine.

If it is where the clear contacts/flaps/rubs on the stainless work it is most likely scratched from the contact and having dirt/salt particles rubbed into it by the stainless. Mine are exactly the same in any area of contact. Not a lot you can do. Definitely want to keep your clears clean though. I use either of the products mentioned every time the boat is used and generally prior to going as well.
