It does get along nicely with the 50 on the back. That is max hp for the hull and it tops out at 30kts with 2 people. The hull weight is somewhere around 180kg. I never weighed it but I might find out one day.
It rides really well and handles chop nicely.
I have yet to get a decent fish onboard but hope to rectify that soon.

This week ozynort should be able to troll for a Mack or bottom fish the outerwides and still get home in time to pick up the kids!��

How is the stability? Looks great on the water but some were concerned how tippy it might be.

Overall the build went well. I had no experience at this sort of stuff so was learning as I went. The great thing about these designs is the backup support you get via the builders forum and from the designer himself. I could ring him any time with questions and he would answer and give guidance. It is really reassuring when you have made a mistake that you have someone else to help.
At the end of the day I have a boat that I have built myself and I now have the skills and confidence to fix issues, remodel or completely change if I so desire.
If anyone is interested in the layout.
The rear lockers run from the transom to the first bulkhead and have stuff like batteries, NMEA2K life jackets in them. One of them is empty at this stage as I haven't found anything to put in there but makes a good bin...
Forward of them are two seat boxes. One has all my electronics in it and the other is insulated. I will use this primarily for food and drink. Forward of the is a casting deck the has an insulated space below that (although I haven't measured it) would be at least 80lt's. I can fit a 20kg bag of ice in there easily. There is also under floor storage that I will use primarily for bait. The anchor locker is huge and I have separated it into 3 compartments. The main (central) one is for the anchor, the other two which are accessed via the main hatch store extra ropes etc.
On the water it is very good. The hull works well in any conditions and it is very quiet because of the under floor flotation. No tinny bang here..
I am running a Garmin 751xs with the dual transducer so I can run traditional sonar or DownVu, thanks Moose...
I have also fitted Smart Tabs to help keep the boat level under way as I will use this a lot solo and as you can see in the pics it really sits well on the water.
For anyone out there thinking of doing this yourself, do it. The sense of accomplishment at the end cannot be matched by buying a production boat.
For those concerned about the compliance plate and rego it is so easy as the data is supplied by the designer and it took me 10 minutes to get it registered.

I'm interested how you find the smart tabs work for you. Do they level the ride laterally as well as give you stern lift?

Yep so far they seem to work well at doing both. Proper tabs will give you more control but I couldn't justify the cost in a 14ft boat.
