PB for me in the bay

My young fella and his mates have been getting a few nice snapper from redcliffe and scarborough on soft plastics.
So this morning unplanned I took him in my boat for a quick couple of hours on the high tide in a decent westerly which made drifting a bit hard. We had quite a few bumps and a good fish or 2 that didnt hook up and a couple undersize, until I said lets just anchor near this good show and cast into it, young fella said no i only get them on the drift and I said just humour me for 30min, So anchored up and I threw out a piece of pike on another rod and kept with the soft plastics, 5min later Ive got a 75cm snapper in the boat and being called cheat for using bait,lol.
First pic is today, the others are from a couple of days ago, seems some tailor around atm moment too,

As im writing this he has just texted me to say Ill be filleting a 80cm jew tonight too. Snapper and Jew for dinner the next few days, I can live with that

i jumped up at 4am and it was blowing fairly hard at brighton, so tossed and turned about it but went back too sleep, should have went out!
