Hmm, I think you may be just a tad optimistic, although I do agree a few of the players are getting "senior" status, can't be bothered going to a match on Sydney, shit stadium, shit atmosphere, plenty of seats left unsold....

It will be a great series once agin.

As long as the refs don't decide the winner, I'll be happy.

I think Queensland might have the momentum, going from last years last game.

Probably a few Toads last year in Origin, so the young guns will be pumped.

I cannot believe NSW dropped Luke Lewis..... he has been NSW's best player, when he plays, for years.

I am having a SOO gathering at my place on Wednesday night. The attendees will be pretty well divided between Maroon and Blue.

I am tipping the maroons on the strength of Thurstons form ....

Im tipping the Maroons based on the inclusion of Mitchell Pearce in the Blues team. I think all of Queensland cheered when that spud was selected.

I wish Queenslanders could brag about their 1 in a row series wins. Beats the hell out of 8.

QLD must have been smiling when Pearce was selected. 12 origins and nothing but failure. He can't play when his forwards aren't dominating. Something that Locky, Thurston and Cronk were able to do on so many occasions. I think this is the only reason Daley has gone for 4 big boppers on the bench. Lewis' omission could be telling if there is an injury early on.

I'm disappointed in his selection because he has had so many chances. Sure Maloney is a turnstile in defence and until the weekend Grub was horribly out of form and more of a liability given his hot head this season.

I probably would have gone with a Hodkinson and Blake Austin combination. Had A Reynolds been fit I would have picked him as first choice half with Sutton in the 6.

Hoppa is a woeful selection purely on two good games in the past. He is horribly out of form for Parramatta and is solid at best. I was hoping for Mansauce to stay fit enough to be selected but of course he got injured in the run up and Alex Johnstone is considered to early to be selected this year (size needs development for origin).

QLD look like they always do with a couple of fresh faces. They are a yard slower but another year wiser. I expect that they will execute with a lot more precision than NSW and given enough opportunities could put NSW to the sword. We saw in games 1 and 2 how close the teams are when there is an even forwards battle. NSW only hope is that the big boys really get into a steam rollers mood and get at least 50% of possession. Anything less and it could be a long night.
Democracy: Simply a system that allows the 51% to steal from the other 49%.
