Here is some pics from varying depths.
You can see on the first pic how chirp has the ability to penetrate and bounce around a cave or hollow objects on the bottom.

    That setup is the NSS12 + BSM-2 and CM599LH 2-3KW Transducer.
That second pic was a mix of Snapper,Ironjaw,Gold Band,Jobfish and AJ's ect.
The lines were from a 20kg plus AJ that we were fighting at the time.
    3rd pic is Harpuka
    4th is cod

I'll try to get some pics up on my garmin 8000 series with gsd26 and a pm265. 1000m was easily attainable.

    1kw chirp on my 1150.

This was the first bump I went over using my new transducer west of the breaksea and circled back and took these pics. Shortly after a few nice fish hit the deck including a nice 8kg red. I found this spot sitting on 34 knots looking at a 40mtr window before slowing down to take these pics of course.

    yeah thats the go Mic.

Mate you can see if you look closely that the chirp pic is a 15mtr range window with the gain as high as 8.4 yet it has ordinary bottom clarity compared to the larger range window on the non chirp at a 20mtr window yet you can clearly see bottom growth on the bottom. The bottom discrimination is as important if not more important than the fish shows IMO. Good luck mate I think they are all good these days. Everyone has an opinion but at the end of the day my mate has a simrad with a 1kw in 400mtrs and its brilliant IMO.

Heres a couple more basic pics
