Did a three day trip up to Hinchinbrook Island. What a beautiful place and NPWS have done a great job with the facilities. Didn't get any keeper barra but what they lacked in size certainly made up for in numbers having snared around the 20 mark. There is nothing quite like travelling along with the electric motor, spotting them and casting a zerek prawn to them and watch the explosion. Got a heap of jacks, cod, fingermark etc and one undesirable when cast netting. Made me pull my hand off the net pretty quick. Al up travelled 100klm in the tinne and only use 16lt which was fantastic. Trip home was a little unfortunate as the gear box blew 5th gear. Ouch $3k bill coming up.
