    Exclamation Queensland Fisheries review.

    19 May 2015

The review of Queensland’s fisheries management is moving ahead with today’s release of the independent report by consultants MRAG Asia Pacific.

The report recommends a comprehensive suite of management reforms aimed at completely changing management arrangements.

There are 80 recommendations in total covering all aspects of commercial, recreational and traditional fishing.

Implementation of the proposed reforms – which include substantially altering the allocation of fisheries resources in Queensland and replacing the current Act and Regulations – will require significant change.
