Noosa - Offshore
Hi All,
I am going to be in Noosa for from 14 – 18 May. I would like to do some offshore fishing for tuna, spanish mackerel, queenfish etc… and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for guides to go out with. I am reasonably competent, but not so keen on the big charter boats. Cheers, AlI am going to be in Noosa for from 14 – 18 May. Give Wild Thing 2 a call.
Very good skipper in Paul who really does a great job getting punters onto the fish.

Re: Noosa - Offshore
Thanks for these tips. I am sure they are great operators, but I was looking for something along the lines of a 20 - 30 ft boat with just one or two or anglers. More of a personal guided situation rather than a mass charter. Also, if there are other places (maybe Hervey Bay?) where I could go for the bigger spanish macks or tuna that is within a couple of hours drive of Noosa, any tips would be great. Cheers

What you are wanting is exactly what Smithy does. He does charters for individuals to small groups and covers all types of offshore fishing. Over the years I have seen a lot o people get of his boat and they are always happy. Won't hurt to give him a call.
