getting paid for 1/2 a job

got back to the manly boatramp, next to coastguard at 1-45pm
todays low tide is 4-16pm at the Brisbane bar, so at manly what, about 4-45

but the bloke pressure cleaning the boat ramp had just about finished, talk about doing half a job
I was under the impression the boat ramps were to be cleaned at low tide, not 1/2 tide

I hope no-one has a serious injury on the boatramp as it is very slippery at low tide

Perhaps he had already cleaned the lower bit at low tide and was working his way back up the ramp. Either that or he was the lowest bid contractor and no quality control (supervision) in place, which means you get what you pay for!

no, the lower part was not done, it was slippery in the water when I pulled my boat out.....I would have thought when you quote, you quote for the full job, not just what you will do

I was there at the same time. Bottom of the ramp was pretty slippery. Gotta really watch your footing as there are some large crevices there as well.

Huh didn't even know they cleaned boat ramps. Well I have never seen anyone cleaning them ever in CQ or NQ...is this common practice or just a southern thing?
