    Caloundra 12mile

Been a while since I have been out for a fish and had limited time so we decided to try and fish a close spot we used to spend a fair bit of time at. We went out to the Caloundra 12 mile Friday afternoon and anchored up on some good looking ground. What a surprise the next couple of hours would bring. We caught snapper, Moses perch, grassy and spangled sweet lip, red empourer, pearl perch, tusk fish, red rock cod, mack tuna and a good Spanish mackerel. Only ended up bringing home half a dozen of the reefies and the Spanish, but couldn't believe the variety at this spot. The Red Empourer were all around the 50cm mark so had to go back but were lots of fun. Also got the Spanish Mackeral after dark which was a bit of a surprise. Sorry no photos as my phone didn't work the best in the dark. Can't wait to get back out there.

nice work, thought the 12 mile would be all fished out by now. If I went out I'd be lucky to get a touch. Like most things, some experience makes a difference.
