Bomb it with a flagon of metho or get some methanol from a hobby shop. Will break down the water a bit if you copped a does of water in your fuel.

How much should I put in each tank scottar??

Took Chris' boat for a good run yesterday, watching the fuel separator closely & draining more goo out through the day.

I mentioned to Chris the advice about running some 2 stroke oil through the fuel, but unknown to me, he runs an Optimax which is 2 stroke.

Here is another image of some of the sludge.

    His boat performed really well.

Well he should definatly take your advice!

That fuel looks nasty.......some of the worst I've seen actually no wonder it stopped the pair of you.
Take Smithys advice on the metho.....there are some old threads getting around about it........

The servo where you got that fuel from must not test for water ever........My Mrs used to manage a BP servo and every morning they had to do a water test.

    Good luck.

Don't put 2 stroke in your tank, you run the risk of shortening the life of the 02 sensor $410.00 each

    Tony,

I think you need to do some homework on your alarm system, knowing what is going on will save you some shortened trips

    Broke down, AGAIN..............

Tony, do you have access to good/clean 200L/44gal drums?

Think you said earlier that you have ~400L of fuel in tanks, and I assume you don't have that many jerries, but what I'd be doing is changing the existing filters(which have had crap thru them), and draining/siphoning all that fuel out through your/these existing filters. Jack nose of boat up high etc (assuming the tank pickups are down the back where they should be).

Monitor the bowl as you are draining fuel, emptying as required, as you don't want the crap getting through. Then add another 10L and drain this as well, maybe even twice. Then replace your filters.

To me makes no sense getting the crap out while using the boat. Do it at home, before the next time you use it.

Get the big 'Mr Funnel' and put the fuel back in through this. Monitor as it is going back in.
    Good luck.
    Cheers

PS. I am not a fan of Metho. Reports I have read, and 'crude' tests I have done have shown it not to work. But that's just my opinion!

I'd second Brendan and add that were it me I'd filter the fuel as it leaves the boat rather than let the crap get into the clean drums and run the filered fuel thru the boat and into funnel fliters again to flush the tank.

You have already moved to get funnel filters to do the fuel, so do the stuff you have a couple of times and flush the tank at the same time without adding anything to the tank except cleaned fuel and do it at home at your leisure IMHO

    Cheers

The servo you got your fuel from must have split / rusted out tanks to get that much of that crap in them.

That's what I meant Pete, but change them first (as they have already had a lot of crap thru them), then change them after its all out too.

I'm surprised you're not a Metho fan Brendon.

I'd rather have a few Litres of Metho in the bottom of my tank than a few Litres of goopy water any day.

Get your mechanic to clean your tanks properly and send the bill to the servo.

    Re: Broke down, AGAIN..............

Can I add it's a good idea to always keep your receipt's too after buying any fuel just incase something like this happens.
That picture is terrible. That would have to be as bad as it can get, isn't it. Shocking...
Surely you went back there to tell them their fuel was f*#ked(putting it lightly), and that they should close the bowser's feeding off that tank until fixed.
Oh, and personally there's no way I would be running any of that fuel through my motor to drain off that crap even though it's going through the separator/filter. I would suggest draining and cleaning the tanks properly at home like other's have suggested. That's just my over cautious opinion...
