Hopefully no one from on here....
Good reminder about the usefulness of EPIRB's
I know this boat! I also know that the two fellas borrowed it off another bloke! They put in just south of yeppoon, anchored for the night then woke up with water around their feet! The owner has had to leave his shift and come home to sort it out! Will be interesting to see what happens next!
Just watched the report on this on the local news and according to the guy who plucked them out of the sea the apparently had been rescued before off Lucinda near Townsville....... Bad luck seems to follow these guys..
Remember to always log on before heading offshore.
One of the fellas has his own boat but he broke his throttle cable( or the like) at Easter and hadn't got it fixed yet, so they borrowed old mates $60000 plus tinny! You might see it out there this weekend Bannana and reefmaster!
I hope the owner can find it as salvage rights are possible on that boat
Jeepers, that'll stretch the friendship!
glad to hear they're safe.
cheers
