    Noosa Wide 6/3

Took a mate who hasn't fished offshore for 15 years & Juna trying to get a bag of tusks.
Mission accomplished, with Juna picking up a nice maori, with a couple of gold spot wrasse thrown in as well.
Beautiful day on the water, with great conditions & just about no current.
Coming back at 35 knots & the starboard engine alarm goes off. No water out of the tell tale. Had a look, no obvious blockage, put a needle in to see if any junk in there bit nothing.
Limped back 30nm on 1 motor doing 12 knots with 2 lures out the back for not a hit.
Made it to the bar right on dark. Fired up the engine to get me over the bar then killed it.
Phone call to the mechanic today!!

Nice bag of tuskies but where are your Hussar???? Does this mean you have a new tow vehicle and how did it go? Hope the cooling problem is just simple.

Only got a few hussar Gav, & Juna reluctantly let me fillet some for red baits, & yes, she did remind me when no reds came on board LOL.

Registering vehicle today, & yes, I hope it is a simple thing gone wrong on the motor.

Tusks were a good size, with Junas best going 49cm, & before you ask, yes, she seriously outfished me yesterday, but somehow, I get the pleasure of filleting her fish??

Did you get out at all??

Worked Sunday and Monday but did take the boat for a run yesterday afternoon to see how it went after a couple of changes to the boat and trailer. Also wanted to get dad on the water after his few heart problems and that did him good. On holidays know for 2 weeks so it should blow its but off knowing my holidays.

How many times have I told you, you are NEVER to have holidays again!! You have obviously pissed off the wind gods at some time, & now we all have to pay for it! LOL

Good on you Tony, for both having a good catch and also posting a report.

It seems few and far between these days that an offshore report is posted and kudos for doing it. Hopefully with the autumn/winter weather coming I may be able too as well.

My brother and I have just returned from a one week charter to the Swains (spearfishing) didn't do as well as some other guys but still filled a 250 litre esky of fillets between us... the crays out there were something to behold.

Anyway, back to line fishing....Well done Tony and Crew.

    Re: Noosa Wide 6/3

Why would you take someone offshore for 15 years?

Building up to it mate. I'm getting you SO used to my legendary hussar reports that the day I do post a DI red, you will be SO stunned, you'll thinks its someones file footage.

I had your red rig out all day mate, but Tony & reds don't seem to mix.

Lucky I LOVE hussar & tusks!!
