Silver plains and Port Stewartt- cape york help

Hi, just wondering if anyone has been to silver plains station before- we are heading to port Stuart (weather and roads permitting) in the next week or so and we were thinking about heading to the station for some camping/fishing/hunting. I had heard a rumour that it has been given back as indigenous land (can still go on there) but maybe things aren't safe at camp while you're out and about. Any info or tips on these places would be greatly appreciated

Haven't heard any reports but reckon you will be pushing it to get in anywhere up there with Cyclone Nathan only just gone through the area - usually months before things are all open. Have seen some pics of washed out culverts etc from Nathan's first lap so I would expect a lot more from the crossing itself.
