    Logan jack

Noticed the jack comp being run down the Goldie soon and started me wondering about the Logan. I know there are good fish in Coomera etc but have done probably a dozen or so trips around Mark's Rocks area without hardly a touch by anything like an MJ. I have caught heaps so I know what it takes to get them but seem to be seriously out of the loop in this new area of work. Am finding livies can be a bloody nightmare to get onto also. That's not helping. Any suggestions?

    Re: Logan jack

Nuggest site gives some good info on Marks Rocks, so does Ausfish search. Ive never fished it, but I hear the rocks hold jews, and the jacks are closer to the prawn farm, about 300-400m away. Opposite side of the river holds jack too. Google earth is your freind, use the historical view to see sandbanks on different tides.

Like any new spot, scan for structure and drop offs, fish it for an hour and move spots.

    cheers

    Thanks mate
have tried a few areas but without a great deal of luck so far. Will persist and things will fall into place as they do if you're willing to work hard.
The rocks are very similar to Beaver rock on the mary, with deep water right nearby and good run past, so much so that it's hard to hold the bottom except at the turn. Of course, there aren't any prawn ropes on the logan to catch your hooks, pots, lures and especially anchors like there are in the Mary.
