Ive tried zooming out to 100nm and it shows the map of australia but once zoomed back in its just yellow....

Try looking in settings and see if it is on the Nav card not the Lowrance map.

I think there is a map detail setting from low medium high.

    Otherwise do a software update.

Have you got the cursor on the screen? If not you'll have to move the map about until you are over your current position.

If it has two SD card slots, try putting the chart card in the other slot. Yep, I know they're both card readers, but I think you'll also find that only one reads the chart card. That's certainly the case with HDS Gen2. Perhaps you removed the chart card at some stage and put in back in Slot 1 instead of Slot 2 or vice versa? Once you get your charts back, you can drop the second SD card (for saving files) into the remaining slot. Your way points are held in the head unit, not read from the card, so that's why they are displayed. The other common miscue is exactly as suggested by Shooter1 - having settings set to read the default Lowrance instead of Navionics which is the card. Be interested to know the result. Regards
